The Pathways of Excellence Initiative integrates Florida State University's academic and research accomplishments and aspirations.

Innovative and ambitious in its approach, Pathways of Excellence is enhancing the university's standing as one of the top research and graduate education institutions in the United States. The Pathways initiative includes:

• The hiring of additional faculty members in clusters built around interdisciplinary academic themes
• Significant investments in graduate-level programs, with emphasis on creating new interdisciplinary doctoral programs
• Substantial investments in new facilities, as well as enhancements to FSU's world-class research groups and centers

In addition to elevating Florida State University's standing and national rankings, Pathways of Excellence will also strengthen the university's contribution to the educational, technical and economic development of the State of Florida and the nation.
